You Know You're a Crohnie When...

About the Blog

This blog can be considered an on-line journal documenting my battle with Crohn's disease. It's really not for anyone in particular. Mostly for me, actually. And maybe those who are going through the same thing as I am. Crohn's is only something that others with the disease can fully comprehend. When I say that I have "severe spasms in my lower colon," for example, only someone who has had that delightful experience can say, "I know what you mean." Likewise, if I were to describe what happened in the toilet today was like "something out of the prom scene in Carrie," only a fellow sufferer will laugh and say, "been there."

This is for us. Knowing that others are going through the same thing can make us feel not so defenseless, not so alone.

And out of it, perhaps we can learn a thing or two.
